I created this website for a local company selling mens designer clothing. The client already had a system in mind for the website, Magento Commerce, I was unfamiliar with the sytem to begin but after wrapping my head around it’s complex template system development of the site began. I modified the templates of the blank theme, a good starting point for any developer using Magento, to meet the basic requirements of the design for the website, this involved mainly XHTML and CSS with some basic PHP thrown in there. The real challenge came when we tried to modify the PDF invoices that magento uses, part of the Zend PDF framework, eventually we managed to get a decent looking invoice to fit our labelling paper by overiding the invoice page’s print style and working ahead from there.

I approached Raed, director & founder of cardelicious, via a freelance student jobs website after he had posted a job required a web developer to bring his design to life. The website required a complex, custom CMS that I built from the ground up using a combination of PHP and MySQL. The end system allowed Raed to maintain the website himself, adding new collections of cards, new cards and change the content of the site himself.
